Star Wars Party - Hill's 4th Birthday

Jedi Knights of all sizes defeated Darth Vader and his evil allies from the dark side at Hill's 4th birthday party in September. We were so thrilled to be involved in planning this special boy’s big celebration. Of course, no detail was overlooked. See more pictures here.

Sneak Peek: Hill's Star Wars Birthday

I was doing some research for Hill’s upcoming Star Wars birthday party this week and I ran across an everyday waste basket on clearance that possessed a striking resemblance to R2D2. Naturally, I brought him home and commenced the conversion process. Using hot glue, spray paint that adheres to plastic, duct tape in three colors (blue, silver and white), and random household objects I transformed this plastic cast-off into a key Star Wars character.

My R2’s head may not rotate or transmit galactic images of Princess Leia in danger, but this little friend will serve as a great prop for Hill’s special celebration!

Brooks' 7th Birthday Party - Jedi Knights

The force was strong on Saturday when Padawans from lands far, far away converged at docking station 3873 Village Center Drive for Jedi Training with Master Jedi RaySalv.

After earning their very own light sabers, the Jedi-in-training learned defense manuevers and techniques for battling the Empire from the Master and became certified Jedi Knights. A Storm Trooper cake was ceremoniously defeated to celebrate the rebel victory. See more pictures from the MerryB Events Jedi Knight Party!

May the Force Be With Me!

According to my son, who will turn seven in April, there is a Star Wars themed birthday party in my future. I loved the original movie... or rather the first but technically the fourth movie ... The 1976 Star Wars was a favorite of mine, so I'm looking forward to planning the festivities.

Ever the planner, I did a quick search of the web for ideas and uncovered these cute R2D2 cupcakes at Sugar & Meringue. A stand-out among ordinary cupcakes topped with plastic Darth Vaders and Storm Troopers, the R2D2 is sure to be a hit with my little jedi.

I'll be bringing this picture to the bakery when it's time to place my order!
